Does Medicare cover hospice?
For eligible beneficiaries who elect the benefit, Medicare generally covers hospice services related to the terminal illness and related conditions.
Can my physician remain involved?
Yes. The hospice team can coordinate care with the patient’s attending physician or qualified practitioner.
Can someone leave hospice?
A patient may revoke hospice and may elect it again later when eligible under Medicare requirements.
